Thank you, Mr. President,
We thank the Presidency for convening this urgent meeting to receive an update from ASG Khiari on recent developments in Yemen.
We join other Council members in expressing concern about the impact of recent attacks, in the Red Sea and now in Yemen, on diplomatic efforts to achieve sustainable peace in Yemen and on efforts to contain the ongoing conflict in the region.

1. I have the honour to deliver this statement on behalf of the A3+, namely Algeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, and my own country Guyana.

We wish to thank the Special Representative of the SecretaryGeneral and Head of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia, Mr. Carlos Ruiz Massieu for his enlightening briefing on the latest developments in Colombia. We also welcome the participation of His Excellency Álvaro Leyva Duran, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, in today’s meeting.

Mr. President,
1. I have the honour to deliver this statement on behalf of the members of the A3+1 namely, Algeria, Guyana, Mozambique, and my own country Sierra Leone.
2. We welcome the report of the Secretary-General on the activities of UNOWAS and avail ourselves of this opportunity to commend the efforts of Mr. Leonardo Santos Simão in actively engaging with the countries of the region. We encourage and support his further efforts in the implementation of the UNOWAS mandate and sincerely thank him for his briefing to the Council today.
